aaaahhhhh peace and tranquility.. so lovely. Has anyone ever told you that you look like Katie Couric? That is a good thing btw. :)
Mary Machare replied:
Aaahhhh.... How pictures belie reality.... the scene is tranquil on the surface, but in reality it was 35 degrees with a Northeasterly, ice-cold wind coming in over the lake. Thank you for the sweet compliment. The answer is no, but many years ago while studying in the library, I realized the man sitting across the desk was sketching me. He showed me the drawings and samples of his printed pieces. He drew religious scenes for religious cards for the Catholic Church. He thought I looked like the Virgin.... so somewhere, my likeness is tucked away in someone's Bible. ;-)

Love this composition, Mary. The colors in this one are so beautiful! I love the softness of the tree branches against the sky! fav/v20

Yes... that I live in Wisconsin and we never know if Spring is going to come ... right now it is 17 degrees with a wind chill of 2. Still waiting ;-) Thanks for your comments and support, Annie.

Love the hues of blue with the linear position of the rock wall and trees, which makes for a superb composition, Mary! Love it! fave and vote
