Description
The old red lighthouse in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, is one of many lighthouses that sounded their horns on the shore of Lake Michigan to keep sailors safe and guide them to the harbor.
Growing up here you could hear a number of lighthouse horns, each with a different tone, playing what we called, the "edge of the lake" melody.

Wonderful image and I love the story about growing up listening to the light house horns. We grew up listening to a factory whistle down the street from our house and the sounds of trains going by almost in our back yard.

Mary, what a beautiful image and lovely tribute to the Sheboygan Lighthouse which, I'm sure, has safely guided many a sailor back home into the harbor! Nice work! (l/f)

What a beautiful and charming little light house! At least it looks little sitting alone out at the end of the pier. Gorgeous colors, and I love the red against the pastels! Wonderful textures too! I love this Mary! l/f!
