Description
Walking through the park in Baden bei Wien, I came upon an ancient tree with a huge trunk entirely wrapped in old woody vines. The vines seem to be a relief of legs and arms scrambling to hold on... a twisted dream.

I really like the way you titled this one Mary and it's a fabulous shot. There sure was a lot of twisting going on here. :-) F/V

It looked to me like a relief of limbs twisting and twining about each other... Thanks for the comments, Nick.

Thanks, Gun. I saw this tree and immediately thought of Merry and Pippin getting caught by the roots of Old Man Willow. I am sure there are many others.

The lighting was very good that morning, but I did have to do some processing to create the mood... just in time for Halloween. I was struck by how the vines looked like a relief of twisting limbs.
