Description
As evening descends upon Baden bei Wien, Austria, the twisted vines clinging to the ancient tree come to life.
This tree is located in the Doblhoffpark, which offers 8 hectares of well tended gardens and pathways around an idyllic pond. Within the park is the rosarium, a rose park featuring over 600 rose types and more than 30,000 rose bushes in 175 beds.
Situated at the mouth of the romantic Helenenthal, part of the Schwechat river valley within the Wienerwald mountain range, Baden used to be the principal summer resort and spa town for the wealthy inhabitants of Vienna. Around the outskirts of Baden are 120 vineyards and more than 70 wine bars which make the town a romantic and restful place to visit.
Baden bei Wien is an ancient town, with a history that dates back to the Romans. Members of the Austrian imperial family spent their summers in Baden. After a major fire in 1812, the city was planned and rebuilt in a Biedermeier style.

Enchanting light and tones, love the many shapes and forms which do indeed seem to have a life of their own! v/f

It is growning like a sculpyure, well seen and presented. Thanks for your comment on my work

Wow! Quite a find and capture, Mary! This gives me the feeling of people stretching and reaching up in agony almost! I think the darkness of the image also gives me that feeling..(just read Jo-Ann's comments, so I guess I am not alone with that!) ha ha! . . ...fav/v42
