Description
The magic of a hummingbird as it darts so close, hovers so still, that even with it wings whirring into a blur, you don't hear it... you look, spellbound, until it zips away, the magic gone.

Beautiful capture of poetry in motion and the lighting you created in the background is perfect.

Love the way the softness of the background gives the subject such a delicate feel - nice work Mary - Fav!

I see Mary you captured an angel with the talent of your eye. It's true in nature the magic of a hummingbird vanish in the blink of an eye. But not so with your magic eyes Mary. They forever capture in stillness that which never stops moving. If that is not magic I do not know what is. Thank you even so such Mary for sharing with us if only for a moment the magic of your eyes. L/F/P
Mary Machare replied:
It was merely patience. I clicked the shutter so many times and finally got one! Thanks, Ken.

A beauty of a capture Mary, I've been unsuccessful in catching hummingbirds but this fine example gives encouragement to try again;) v
Mary Machare replied:
Thanks, Jack. My trick is that I just put it on "Sport" and keep clicking. They move so fast, I have to shoot quite a few to get one good one.
