Situated In a lovely park is a magnificent house, Counts of Castro Guimarães Palace -, that was constructed in 1890 in Cascais, Portugal near Lisbon. The exterior and the interior are well maintained and display many fine works of art; items of archaeological interest; a library of over 25,000 volumes; maps of archaeological sites; and a small collection of old weapons in the tower room. In the garden at the right of the main entrance the Capela de S. Sebastião is located.
As a designer, I try to find the little twist that sparks a connection, a wave of delight. When not otherwise occupied with developing brands, logos, packaging and trade show displays, I travel with my artist husband in search of inspiration. Many of the photos are from my home state of Wisconsin and from Spain and Peru. Wherever we go, the camera is in my hand, capturing the little things that inspire awe or make me smile. And because I love to tinker, I often play in Photoshop to create unique results.
