Description
Remember being bundle up in a snow suit so voluminous that your arms stuck out like those of a snow man? And when your mom was done making sure you wouldn't catch cold, sending you trudging up the hill pulling the old metal sled, the one that Grandpa gave you... it had been been in the family for years. What a thrill it was to sit on the wooden slats as you stared down the hill, not sure if you really wanted to take off... but not wanting the others to beat you to the bottom. And at the end of a long afternoon, when your nose was cold and cheeks were red with wind and icy air, Mom made cocoa for everyone.
Where have all those sleds gone with their memories of laughter and joy?

Beautiful work! f/l/t I used to play in a traveling band in Wis. We had an agent from Milwaukee. We played Madison, Eau Clair, Wausau, Green Bay, Minocqua, just to name a few. We worked a lot of Hoffman Houses. This was back in the early 70s. I love Wis. Always wanted to settle around Madison but came back to Mi.

Thank you for the kind comments. What was the name of your band, Lee? I might have heard you play.

Does "Rosebud" come to mind? Really beautiful shot with great sense of time and place.
