Description
View from the South Shore harbor of Milwaukee's South Side at sunset just before the sky turned dark.It was a warm early fall evening with a low mist hanging just above the water when this was taken. In the background, the Rockwell / Allen-Bradley 4-sided clock stands over the neighborhood. The world's second largest 4-sided clock boasts 40-foot-wide clock faces and has been known in the area as the Polish moon, harkening to the days when the neighborhood was primarily made up of Polish immigrants.

Mary Machare replied:
Thank you, Constance. Yes. The University of Wisconsin School of Engineering has a windmill there.

This image has so many fabulous details, the clock towers, the boats, the wind turbine, and the buildings all just work together so well in this light.

What an intense moment! I've seen moments like this, where the sky is on FIRE and everything is orange! It's amazing! FAV!
